Schmersal wins the GIT SECURITY AWARD 2025!

We are delighted to have been awarded the prestigious GIT Security AWARD again this year. The coveted prize went to our SDG Fieldbus Gateway, which took third place in the category A Machine and Plant Safety!

Every year, the GIT Security Awards recognise the most innovative and advanced technologies in the field of safety. With the 3rd place for the SDG Fieldbus Gateway, the Schmersal Group has once again proven that we are one of the leading companies in the field of machine safety. Our aim is to offer our customers the best solutions for their applications and to set new standards in the industry.

Electronic safety sensors and solenoid interlocks with SD interface can transmit comprehensive diagnostic data to a higher-level machine control system. The data from the series-connected safety switching devices (up to 31 devices) is sent via the SD bus to the SDG Fieldbus Gateway and from there via the fieldbus to the machine control system.

The user benefits in particular from the improved fault diagnosis made possible by the new SDG Fieldbus Gateway. This increases the productivity of machines and systems by minimising downtime and simplifying commissioning and maintenance.  The new version of the SD Gateway also offers a web server and has a microSD memory card.
